विवरणम् : prajapatis are ten : marichi, atri, angirasa, pulastya, pulaha, kratu, prachetas, vashishtha, bhrigu and narada [Manu. I.34]. according to brahadaranyaka upanishada (v.2) his praja is threefold : asuras, men and devas. on the asuras he enjoins दयध्वम् : be kind to all, on men दत्त : be charitable, and on devas दाम्यत : practise self control.
